In 2021, I came out as trans and nonbinary...
Since then, I’ve been writing and sharing my experiences of being trans masculine, nonbinary, autistic and ADHD.
I’m only able to do this because of the stories of other Trans+*, neurodivergent and disabled people.
They taught me who I was, and made me want to pay it forward. In the spirit of that, I reach out to my wider communities in my reporting.
I know my story is far from the only Trans+ and/or disabled experience. For one, I’m white, and have that layer of privilege in my favour despite being marginalised in other ways.
Fully aware of the gaps in my expertise, I bring in other voices where mine can’t communicate a lived experience.
I love that my writing is its own space to share and swap stories. I've fielded my share of transphobia out in the world, and in the comments below my published work. But I’ve built something stronger than I ever could have imagined before I came out. I’d love to share that by working with you too.

(For the folks who like a 'before' pic)
Inspired by my own experiences, I’ve made it a personal mission to…
Educate and inform on my experience as a trans, disabled person – so others like me are more truthfully represented in mainstream media, marketing and copy.
Advocate and signal boost for other Trans+ and disabled voices, and our social justice movements.
Mythbust stereotypes about the communities I’m part of. And prove Trans+ people have always been here, by talking about our long and vibrant history.
I do all this with warmth, accessibility, creative skill, and my own powerful written voice (which simply can’t be replicated with AI, by the by).

something else?
if you're not sure where to start, let’s have a chat first. I'd be happy to workshop angles and ideas!

* Why Trans+ - what does that mean?
I use the term ‘Trans+’ to be inclusive of the many ways people describe and define their relationship to their own gender or absence of gender. This term is inclusive of transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, genderfluid, bigender, gender non-conforming and agender people - or indeed inclusive of any of the other ways people define their gender. This term is also inclusive of intersex people who have natural diversity in sex characteristics.
